Super Eagles winger Moses Simon scored the winning goal and registered an assist as Paris FC claimed a 3-2 victory over Metz in a thrilling Ligue 1 clash on Sunday, Bold Sports reports.
In a pulsating encounter at the Stade Charléty, Simon showed his class when he latched onto a Maxime Lopez pass during a fast break and coolly slotted home with his left foot into the bottom corner.
His decisive goal came just minutes after Metz had drawn level through Boubacar Traoré.
Metz had earlier drawn first blood in the 22nd minute when Sadibou Sané powered home a finish from close range. But Paris FC hit back on the stroke of half-time through Ilan Kebbal’s penalty to ensure both teams went into the break level.
The home side then went ahead shortly after the restart, Simon turning provider with a precise cross that Kebbal converted for his second of the night. Metz responded again through Traoré to make it 2-2, before Simon struck the winner in the 67th minute.

The Nigerian international, who was later substituted to a warm ovation, also won key fouls and troubled the Metz defence throughout the contest. The visitors’ night worsened when Sané was shown a straight red card in the 80th minute, leaving them with no way back.
Paris FC held on through a tense six minutes of stoppage time as goalkeeper Jonathan Fischer was called into action to deny late efforts from Kebbal and Lopez.
