Super Eagles winger Moses Simon provided an assist as Paris FC produced a clinical display to defeat Monaco 4-1 in their Ligue 1 encounter at the Stade Jean Bouin on Friday, Bold Sports reports.
The Nigerian International wasted no time making an impact, setting up Jonathan Ikoné for the opening goal in just the fourth minute. The early breakthrough set the tone for an impressive first-half performance from the hosts, who went on to end Monaco’s 10-game unbeaten run in the league.
Paris FC doubled their advantage only four minutes later through Ciro Immobile, leaving the visitors stunned inside the opening eight minutes. Ikoné then grabbed his second of the night in the 21st minute, capping off a blistering start for the home side.
Monaco managed to pull one back before the break, with Folarin Balogun finding the net 10 minutes before halftime to give the visitors a glimmer of hope.
The second half was more controlled, but Paris FC still found another goal when Luca Koleosho came off the bench in the 65th minute. The substitute made an immediate impact, scoring just six minutes after his introduction to put the result beyond doubt.

Simon’s night ended in the 87th minute when he was substituted after appearing to pick up a knock, something Paris FC will hope is not serious. The hosts comfortably saw out the game to secure all three points and complete a league double over Monaco, having also claimed a 1-0 away win in November.
The victory lifts Paris FC to 12th on the table with 35 points, while Monaco remain fifth on 49 points, missing the opportunity to move into the top three.
Simon’s assist takes his tally to three goals and three assists in 26 league appearances this season. Notably, it marks his first goal contribution since scoring against Monaco in the reverse fixture earlier in the campaign.
