Ligue 1 side AS Monaco will return in January with a bid for Super Eagles-eligible defender Tosin Adarabioyo after failing to sign the former Manchester City defender on transfer Deadline Day.
Monaco had offered a €12m plus €3m add-ons on Deadline Day for Adarabioyo but a deal could not be made as the London side could not get a replacement for the defender before the close of the summer transfer window.
Adarabioyo’s situation at Fulham is similar to that of Palhinha who had agreed on a five-year deal with Bayern Munich but the deal fell through as Fulham failed to get a suitable replacement for the hard-tackling Portuguese midfielder.

Fulham are open to selling Adarabioyo who has just 12 months left on his current contract. The 25-year-old joined The Cottagers in 2020 and has played a total of 108 games in all competitions for the London club scoring three goals while providing two assists.
Serie A giants AC Milan showed interest in the defender earlier in the transfer window while Tottenham Hotspur had also been rumored to be interested in the player.
Monaco’s hopes of making Adarabioyo a potential replacement for Axel Disasi, who made a £38.5m transfer to Chelsea this summer was dashed.
