Three Ligue 1 clubs, Monaco, Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyon have joined the race to sign Wilfred Ndidi this summer, Bold Sports reports.
But they face stiff competition from
Real Betis, Sevilla and Everton who have been strongly linked with a move for the Nigerian midfielder.
Ndidi’s contract at Leicester runs out this month but negotiations are still ongoing for the 27-year-old to remain at the King Power stadium following their promotion to the Premier League.
According to Foot Mercato, Marseille see Ndidi as an ideal replacement for Veretout and Kondogbia who are likely to leave the Velodrome this summer.
The report reads, “According to our information, Olympique de Marseille is also monitoring Ndidi.
“They are actively looking for new players, in almost all positions, to give maximum solutions to their future coach Roberto De Zerbi.
“Above all, they are is also preparing for possible departures of Veretout and Kondogbia in addition to the planned departure of Pape Gueye and the end of Jean Onana’s loan.
“Furthermore, AS Monaco also obtained some information on the player (Ndidi).
Currently, on holiday in Nigeria, Ndidi has made 261 appearances in all competitions for the Foxes scoring 15 goals.
