Moffi will score goals, says Nice boss

OGC Nice manager Didier Digard believes Terem Moffi would bounce back to form and replicate his super performance and consistency he put up for rival French side Lorient.

Moffi who joined Nice during the January transfer window was expected to hit the ground running but despite the high expectations, he has failed to find the back of the net in his first three games for the club.

The Nigeria international has another opportunity to score his first goal for the club when they travel to face AS Monaco at the Louis II Stadium later today.

Speaking about Moffi and ahead of the encounter against Monaco, Digard stated that he’s seen the Nigerian work hard in training and it’ll only be a short while before he gets his name on the score sheet for the Aiglons.

“Expectations are normal, it’s part of our sport,” Digard told the press. “We are not afraid of that at all. When I see the energy expenditure he has, what he shows us in training, his daily investment, I know it will turn around. I’m really, really confident, there’s no doubt.”

Before joining Nice in January, Moffi had scored 12 league goals for Lorient in 18 appearances and was a top 3 highest goals scorers in the French Ligue 1.
