Nigerian striker Terem Moffi has spoken of his pride after joining FC Porto, describing the move as an important moment in both his career and personal life.
The Super Eagles forward arrived at the Portuguese club during the winter transfer window on loan from OGC Nice, with the agreement keeping him at the Estádio do Dragão until the end of the current season.
Since completing the move, Moffi has begun adapting to life in the Primeira Liga.
He made his debut for Porto in a narrow 1–0 victory against CD Nacional. The Nigerian forward has gone on to feature in four league matches so far and recently opened his scoring account during Porto’s 3–1 win over FC Arouca.
Speaking ahead of Porto’s European fixture against VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Europa League, Moffi expressed his excitement about representing the Portuguese giants.

“I feel immense pride in representing FC Porto. It’s something very big for me and also for my family,” he said.
The 26-year-old forward emphasised that the opportunity to play for one of Portugal’s most successful clubs carries special meaning for him and those close to him.
Moffi also highlighted the atmosphere within the squad, noting that unity among the players has been important in the team’s preparations.
“As the manager said, there’s good energy, no negativity,” he explained.
“We have to stay focused. We have to want to play, want to improve, and be a real family. That’s why we’ve been working hard these last few days and weeks.”
The Nigerian international also praised Porto coach Francesco Farioli, describing the manager’s attention to small tactical and technical details as a key factor in player development.

“It comes down to the small details. The touch, the right moment to appear, the timing… all of that,” Moffi said.
“As a player, that’s what differentiates you from everyone else, the details. And that’s exactly what he’s been trying to do in the last two or three years.”
With Porto preparing for an important European contest in Germany, Moffi will be hoping to continue building momentum and contribute to the team’s success on the continental stage.
The striker, who represents the Nigeria national football team, will be looking to build on his early appearances and establish himself as an important attacking option for Porto as the season progresses.
