Milwaukee Bucks confirm Jordan Nwora’s new two-year deal

The Milwaukee Bucks have re-signed Nigerian forward, Jordan Nwora, on a two-year deal worth $6.2m.

Weeks of negotiations between the player and the team resulted in the agreement, which was officially announced by the organization on Monday.

Nwora, 24, participated in 62 games last season, starting 13 of them. He clocked 19.1 minutes, 7.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1 assist per game. He made 34.8% of his 3-point attempts while shooting 40.3% overall.

The Bucks selected Nwora out of Louisville with the 45th overall pick in the 2020 draft. The 6-foot-8 forward has made 15 starts and played 92 games in his two seasons.

Reacting to the signing, Nwora says he’ll do all it takes to show the fans what he’s made of.

“The thing about me is that I know that I can play, I’ve shown it. I’ve been with the starters and I’ve done a good job and they all know what I can do,” Nwora said after training on Monday.

“If I get the opportunity this year, I’ll make sure I don’t play myself back to the bench. I know I’m good enough to be on the court.”
