Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will be aiming for his 10th clean sheet of the season when Udinese Calcio host Parma Calcio 1913 at the Bluenergy Stadium in a Matchday 33 Serie A clash.

Okoye has been in outstanding form in recent weeks, recording three consecutive clean sheets in his last three league appearances while producing a string of impressive saves. Overall, he has amassed nine clean sheets in 24 matches this season.

The Nigerian international has enjoyed a remarkable campaign with Udinese. Despite missing eight games—six due to suspension and two for disciplinary and rotation reasons, Okoye still ranks among the league’s top 10 goalkeepers for clean sheets.

Jean Butez of Como currently leads the standings with 15 clean sheets, followed by Yann Sommer of Inter Milan and Mile Svilar of AS Roma with 14 each. Lazio’s Ivan Provedel, AC Milan’s Mike Maignan, and Atalanta’s Marco Carnesecchi have all kept 12 clean sheets apiece.

Michele Di Gregorio of Juventus has 11 clean sheets, while Napoli’s Vanja Milinković-Savić and Okoye are tied on nine each.

Okoye has already surpassed his clean sheet tally from last season, when he managed just four in 25 appearances.

A clean sheet against Parma would see him equal his personal best, achieved during the 2020/21 season in the Eredivisie with Sparta Rotterdam, where he recorded 10 clean sheets in 28 matches.
