Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman has finally scored his first goal of the season, helping Atalanta earn a hard-fought 1-1 draw against AC Milan in their Serie A clash on Tuesday night, Bold Sports reports.
The 28-year-old, who had gone six games across all competitions without a goal or assist, ended that dry spell with a crucial first-half strike that ensured Ivan Jurić’s men extended their unbeaten run in the league.
AC Milan drew first blood early on when Samuele Ricci unleashed a stunning half-volley from outside the box, leaving the Atalanta defence flat-footed and goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi helpless.
Atalanta, however, grew into the game and were rewarded in the 35th minute as Mario Pašalić slipped a clever pass into the path of Lookman, who took a touch before rifling a powerful shot past Mike Maignan at the near post to make it 1-1.

The equaliser lifted the hosts’ confidence, with Atalanta creating several chances to secure all three points. The game’s final big moment came late on when Davide Zappacosta came close to snatching victory, only for Maignan to produce a fine save to deny him.
The result means Milan missed the chance to close the gap on league leaders Napoli, remaining third with 18 points — three behind Antonio Conte’s side. Atalanta sit seventh on 13 points, having now drawn seven of their nine league matches.
For Lookman, the goal will come as a relief after a difficult start to the season. The Nigerian forward will now aim to build momentum as Atalanta look to climb the Serie A standings in the coming weeks.
