Kasimpasa move excites Kenneth Omeruo

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo has joined Turkish Super Lig side Kasimpasa from Spanish side Leganes for an undisclosed fee.

It is the third stint of the 29-year-old at the club having previously joined them on loan from Chelsea in the 2015/16 and 2017/18 seasons.  He was one of the club’s most prolific players at the time making a total of 54 appearances and finding the back of the net once.

The Turkish club announced the arrival of the veteran after completing his medicals.

“Our new transfer, Kenneth Omeruo, signed the contract that binds him to Kasımpaşa at the signing ceremony held at our Turgay Ciner Sports Facilities after the controls he had at Liv Hospital Vadi Istanbul, our health sponsor.”

Reacting to the move, the former Middlesbrough defender says he is excited to be back at the club where he had fond memories and is also looking ahead to achieving success with the side. 

“New chapter. God’s Work. Excited to be back,” Omeruo wrote on Instagram.
