Dutch-born Nigerian forward Joshua Zirkzee continued his impressive form in Serie A, scoring two goals to lead Bologna to a 2-1 victory over Salernitana.
Despite Salernitana’s late consolation goal from substitute Simy Nwankwo, Bologna held on for three crucial points. Zirkzee’s brace in the match’s early stages (9th and 20th minutes) propelled Bologna to fourth place in the Serie A table, while Salernitana remains rooted to the bottom.

With these two goals, Joshua Zirkzee has now scored seven goals in 15 Serie A appearances this season. Simy’s goal was his first in two league appearances for Salernitana.
While eligible to represent the Netherlands and Nigeria, Zirkzee remains uncapped for the senior Dutch team, making him a potential target for the Nigerian national side.
