Alex Iwobi proved the hero for Fulham as they claimed their first Premier League victory of the season, edging out newly promoted Leicester City 2-1 at Craven Cottage.
The win was a much-needed boost for Marco Silva’s side following their opening-day defeat to Manchester United. New signing Emile Smith Rowe gave Fulham the lead in the first half, but Wout Faes leveled for the Foxes.
However, Iwobi’s goal in the 70th minute sealed the win for the Cottagers, securing their first three points of the campaign. The Nigerian international has been a key figure for Fulham since joining the club last season, contributing five goals and two assists in 32 Premier League games last season.
