Kiki Iriafen recorded her fourth consecutive double-double to help the Washington Mystics secure a 95-86 victory over the Los Angeles Sparks at the CareFirst Arena.
The win marked the Mystics’ second straight and Iriafen’s third double-double in four games. The Nigerian forward finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists, complementing Sonia Citron’s team-high 24 points and three rebounds. Shakira Austin added 14 points, while Jade Melbourne chipped in 11 in the win.
The result improves Washington’s record to 16-18 this season, while the Sparks suffered their 18th loss of the campaign.

After the game, Iriafen praised her teammate and fellow rookie Citron for her remarkable consistency and impact on the team.
“I don’t think I’m impressed anymore. She does this every game. It’s what we expect from her,” Iriafen said after the game.
“Soni’s just super consistent. She can start the first half and maybe not get a lot of touches, and before you know it, she has 20 points. She’s just a silent assassin. She doesn’t even hunt her shots; they just flow.
“She does a great job of getting her teammates involved. She’s always talking, always communicating with me, and we’re working on our two-man game out there. She’s a selfless teammate and, above all, a great person.”
