Ikorodu City have promoted five academy players to their first team ahead of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season.
The Lagos-based club announced on Thursday, just days before their season opener against Kwara United on Sunday in Ilorin.
The promoted players include centre-back Chiemerie Ezeaka, right-back Gift Udoh, midfielder Dagogo Ibifubara, and forwards Maliq Musa and Samuel Ezekiel.

Ikorodu City, who stunned fans and pundits with a remarkable debut campaign that saw them finish fourth in the 2024/25 season, narrowly missing out on continental qualification, will be aiming to build on that success in their second top-flight season.
The club’s decision to elevate these youngsters underscores the Oga Boys’ commitment to nurturing grassroots talent and building a sustainable future.
Their inclusion is also expected to provide cover for key departures following an active transfer window this summer.
