Ike Ireogbu bounced back in a big way after failing to reach double digits in scoring for the past three games. He not only poured in 28 points but also chipped in with 3 assists and 3 rebounds. Teammate Juan Marcos provided solid support with 18 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
For Valencia, despite a valiant effort of 18 points and 11 rebounds from Damien Inglis, the team fell short. Chris Jones added 17 points, while former Boston Celtics forward and player of Nigerian descent Semi Ojeleye chipped in with 14 points and 5 rebounds in the losing effort.
Looking ahead, Ireogbu will be aiming to maintain his hot hand when Girona takes on Manresa next Saturday, March 24th.
