Francis Uzoho secured the 2025/26 Cypriot First Division title with Omonoia Nicosia after the team defeated Aris Limassol 3–0 on Saturday, claiming the championship for the 22nd time.
The Super Eagles goalkeeper has now won three trophies with the club, with this being his first league title since joining them permanently in 2021.
It marks a successful end to the season for Omonoia Nicosia who have dominated the league this campaign. It also ends their five-year drought, as the club last won the title in 2021.
With the league secured, Omonoia Nicosia have also confirmed their spot in the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League. They will begin their European campaign in the second qualifying round.

Francis Uzoho has been Omonia’s second choice goalkeeper this season, but has been top when called upon. The 27-year-old made five league appearances and kept three clean sheets, conceding thrice.
He also featured in the Conference League, keeping two clean sheets in five games. Overall, Uzoho made 11 appearances across all competitions and delivered five clean sheets.
With four matches still left to play this season, the goalkeeper will be aiming to get some game time as Omonoia Nicosia wrap up a successful 2025-26 campaign.
