Nigeria’s Super Falcons will discover their group-stage opponents for the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Friday, November 22.
Scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. local time (7 p.m. GMT), the draw will be broadcast live on major TV networks across Africa and internationally. Fans can also stream it on CAF’s digital platform, CAF TV.
The draw will reveal the group-stage opponents for the 12 teams competing in the tournament, which includes hosts Morocco, defending champions South Africa, and nine other top African nations, including Nigeria’s Super Falcons.
This 13th edition of WAFCON is set to be held from July 5 to 26, 2025, in Morocco, promising another thrilling showcase of African women’s football.
According to CAF, details of the draw procedure and further information will be announced soon.
The 12 teams qualified for the tournament are hosts Morocco, defending champions South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Algeria, Tunisia, DR Congo, Senegal, Mali, Botswana, and Tanzania.
The Super Falcons had their worst WAFCON in 2022, finishing fourth after losing to hosts Morocco in the semi-final and Zambia in the third-place match.
