Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke leads the rankings for successful dribbles among players in Europe’s top five leagues, Bold Sports reports.
Since the start of the 2024/25 season, Ejuke, who joined Sevilla during the summer transfer window, has completed 23 dribbles, the same number as Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal. However, Ejuke boasts a higher number of successful dribbles per 90 minutes, with 5.06 in 409 minutes, compared to Yamal’s 3.15 in 657 minutes. French forward Kylian Mbappe is third in La Liga with 21 successful dribbles in 610 minutes of play.
In the Premier League, West Ham’s Mohammed Kudus tops the successful dribbles chart with 21 in 494 minutes, followed by Fulham’s Adama Traore, who has completed 15 in 470 minutes, and Brighton’s Kaoru Mitoma, also with 15 in 534 minutes.
In Serie A, five players—AC Milan’s Rafael Leao, Monza’s Daniel Maldini, Fiorentina’s Domilson Dos Santos, Udinese’s Florian Thauvin, and Verona’s Reda Belahyane—have each recorded 13 dribbles in 441, 429, 440, 456, and 519 minutes respectively.
Another Nigerian, Moses Simon, leads the French Ligue 1 dribbling stats with 20 successful dribbles in 507 minutes. Toulouse’s Yann Gboho and Le Havre’s Antoine Joujou follow with 15 dribbles each, though Joujou’s tally came in just 298 minutes, compared to Gboho’s 526.
In the Bundesliga, Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz, Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitiké, and Bayern Munich’s Jamal Musiala are tied for the lead, each completing 14 successful dribbles in 450, 294, and 389 minutes, respectively.
