Nigerian striker Rafiu Durosinmi is close to completing a move to Serie A side Pisa from Czech outfit Viktoria Plzen, with the deal set to be officially announced in the coming hours, Bold Sports reports.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the 23-year-old signed his contract in the early hours of Tuesday, with Viktoria Plzen set to receive a total package of €11 million, including add-ons. The deal will make Durosinmi the Czech club’s most expensive sale, surpassing Robin Hranac, who moved to Hoffenheim for €8 million.
Durosinmi first arrived at Viktoria Plzen on loan from Karviná in January 2023. During his initial six months, he netted four goals in seven starts, prompting the club to trigger their option to make the move permanent in June 2023, with the striker signing a contract until 2026.
In the 2023-24 season, Durosinmi scored nine goals and recorded five assists in 19 appearances before suffering a serious knee ligament injury that sidelined him for over a year, impacting a potential move to Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt.
After a 437-day absence from the pitch, Durosinmi made his comeback on February 3, 2025, against Sigma Olomouc. He earned his first start after recovery against Teplice and immediately showed what Viktoria Plzen had been missing, scoring two goals within two minutes. He finished the 2024–25 season with nine goals and four assists in 22 appearances.

This season marks Durosinmi’s most consistent campaign yet, having appeared in 30 games across all competitions and scored 13 goals. With a move to one of Europe’s top leagues now imminent, the striker will be looking to maintain his form at the highest level.
Pisa are currently at the bottom of Serie A with 12 points from 18 games, having claimed just one victory this season. However, they sit only three points adrift of 17th-placed Genoa, who are just outside the relegation zone. The club will be hoping Durosinmi’s arrival can provide the boost they need in their battle to stay in the top flight.
