A dramatic late winner from substitute Samuel Chukwueze snatched a 2-1 victory for AC Milan against Newcastle United, sending the Rossoneri into the UEFA Europa League as third-place finishers in Group F.
With both teams already eliminated from Champions League contention as a result of a 1-1 draw between Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain in Germany, the battle was for Europa League glory.

Newcastle drew first blood through Jolington in the 33rd minute, but the Magpies’ joy was short-lived. American winger Christian Pulisic equalized for Milan on the hour mark, setting the stage for a tense finale.
Then, in the 84th minute, Chukwueze, who had just entered the fray, wrote himself into Milanese lore. With his first touch of the ball, the Nigerian international curled a stunning shot past Martin Dubravka, sending the away fans into raptures.
Despite finishing level on points with Paris Saint-Germain, Milan’s superior goal difference secured their Europa League berth. Borussia Dortmund topped the group with 11 points, but it was Chukwueze’s moment of magic that will be remembered as AC Milan salvaged European pride at St. James’ Park.
