Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has jokingly blamed teammate Alex Iwobi for failing to warn him about how cold London can be while persuading him to join Fulham on loan during the summer.
Iwobi is widely credited as one of the players who helped convince Chukwueze to make the move to London from AC Milan. The Fulham midfielder had previously revealed that head coach Marco Silva reached out to him to get feedback on the Nigerian winger, and he gave a glowing recommendation.
Chukwueze eventually completed his loan move to Fulham and has since settled in quickly, becoming one of the liveliest figures in the dressing room. Beyond his infectious off-field energy, the 26-year-old has also impressed on the pitch, performances that could prompt the London club to consider making his move permanent at the end of the season.

The winger has been in fine form for the Cottagers, scoring three goals and providing four assists in 10 Premier League appearances, including a crucial strike in Fulham’s 2-1 comeback victory over Brighton at the weekend.
Despite enjoying life in London, Chukwueze has admitted he is still struggling to adapt to the capital’s cold weather, with temperatures hovering around four degrees during the winter. He playfully blamed Iwobi for omitting that detail while highlighting the benefits of joining the club.
Chukwueze made the remarks in Alex Iwobi’s matchday vlog, jokingly suggesting he had been “tricked” into the move without getting the full picture of life in London.

“Alex, the best thing you told me to do in this life was to come to this club,” Chukwueze said. “The worst thing you did was that you never told me it was this cold.”
Responding with a laugh, Iwobi said: “I can’t keep you happy, bro.”
Chukwueze then fired back jokingly: “This time around, just keep yourself happy.”
