Chuba Akpom had an impressive performance, setting up Kenneth Taylor’s goal in the 25th minute and scoring himself in the 59th minute. This is the second consecutive game Akpom has scored for Ajax, who are struggling to qualify for European competition next season after a poor performing season.
Akpom joined Ajax last summer after an impressive season with Middlesborough, where he finished as the top scorer in the English Championship with 28 goals. He played for 88 minutes before being replaced by Julian Rijkhoff.
Despite a slow start in Amsterdam, the 28-year-old has found form in recent games, scoring five times in his last six games and 11 times in 23 league games this season.
