Chidera Ejuke returns to training after four months

Nigeria midfielder Chidera Ejuke has returned to training for German Bundesliga side Hertha Berling after being out of action for four months due to a knee ligament injury. 

The Nigeria international has been out of action since December 2022. He last featured for Hertha in their 2-0 win over FC Koln on December 11, 2022 coming on for Dode Lukebakio in the 69th minute. 

The 25-year-old has missed 13 league games due to the injury, however, he will be hoping to jump back into the fray and at least make a cameo appearance when Hertha welcome Werder Bremen to the Olympiastadion Berlin in a Bundesliga matchday 29 fixture on Saturday.

With six games till the end of the 2022/23 season, Ejuke will be hoping to play a part for the club who are currently in relegation waters sitting bottom of the Bundesliga log, five points away from safety.

The former CSKA Moscow trickster is yet to find the back of the net in his first 15 games of the season before the injury.
