Nigerian stars have learnt their fate for the 2025-26 UEFA Champions League campaign as the league phase draw was conducted on Thursday evening at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco, with football icons Zlatan Ibrahimović and Kaká overseeing the proceedings.

The draw has set the stage for a thrilling campaign, with several Super Eagles players facing tough tests against Europe’s elite clubs.

Victor Osimhen and his club Galatasaray are set for blockbuster clashes in Istanbul against Liverpool, Atletico Madrid, Bodo/Glimt, and Union Saint-Gilloise. Their away journeys won’t be any easier, with trips to Manchester City, Eintracht Frankfurt, Ajax, and Monaco lined up for the Turkish champions.

Ademola Lookman could also be in the spotlight if he remains at Atalanta, with the Italian side set to welcome Chelsea, Club Brugge, Sparta Prague, and Athletic Bilbao to Bergamo. On the road, Atalanta will face some of Europe’s heavyweights, including Paris Saint-Germain, Eintracht Frankfurt, Marseille, and Union Saint-Gilloise, in a group of fixtures that promises high drama.

For Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, their Bayer Leverkusen side faces a daunting challenge as they prepare to host Paris Saint-Germain, Villarreal, PSV Eindhoven, and Newcastle United at the BayArena. Away from home, Leverkusen will travel to meet Manchester City, Benfica, Olympiacos, and Copenhagen.

For Raphael Onyedika and Club Brugge, the path is equally challenging. The Belgian side will host Barcelona, Arsenal, Marseille, and Monaco at the Jan Breydel Stadium, while their away trips include visits to Bayern Munich, Atalanta, Sporting Lisbon, and Kairat Almaty, the Kazakh newcomers making their debut.

Over in the Czech Republic, Igoh Ogbu and David Moses will look to make an impact with Slavia Prague, who will entertain Barcelona, Arsenal, Bodo/Glimt, and Athletic Bilbao in front of their home supporters. Their away fixtures, however, present a formidable challenge with clashes against Inter Milan, Atalanta, Tottenham Hotspur, and Pafos.

Bruno Onyemaechi and his Olympiacos teammates also face a demanding schedule, hosting Real Madrid, Bayer Leverkusen, PSV Eindhoven, and Pafos at the Karaiskakis Stadium, while preparing for tough away trips to Barcelona, Arsenal, Ajax, and Kairat Almaty.
