Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen could be on his way to the Emirates Stadium, with Arsenal reportedly interested after discussions between Napoli and Chelsea fell through.
Osimhen has been a hot property, attracting attention from major European clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and of course, Arsenal.

While the forward has been linked heavily with Chelsea, Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio suggests talks have cooled. This opens the door for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to potentially snatch the player.
Champions League qualification appears to be a major factor in Osimhen’s decision. With only Arsenal guaranteed a spot from the mentioned teams, the Gunners are now frontrunners for his signature.
Osimhen played a key role in Napoli’s long-awaited Serie A title in 2022/23. However, the following season proved challenging, with Napoli finishing a disappointing 10th. Despite this, Osimhen managed a respectable 17 goals and 4 assists in all competitions.
Following a tough season for Napoli, the 25-year-old is expected to leave the club. His new contract includes a hefty release clause between €120 million and €130 million.
