United Arab Emirates (UAE) club Al-Jazira have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Anthony Dennis from Turkish side Göztepe, Bold Sports reports.
The club confirmed the arrival of the 22-year-old on Sunday through an announcement on their official social media platforms.
“The wait is over! Officially: Al Jazira Club completes the signing of the young midfielder Anthony Dennis and register him as a resident player,” the club announced.
Anthony Dennis began his football journey at HB Academy in Abuja before moving to Göztepe’s youth academy in January 2023, where he joined the club’s U-19 team.
He made his senior and professional debut for Göztepe in a 1-1 draw against Çorum on January 27, 2024, and was subsequently promoted to the first team. By May, he extended his contract with the club until 2027.
The Nigerian midfielder played an important role as Göztepe secured promotion to the Turkish Süper Lig for the 2024/25 season. Overall, Dennis made 83 appearances for Göztepe across all competitions, scoring five goals and providing two assists during his time in Turkey.
His impressive development also saw him earn recognition at international level, with the midfielder included in Eric Chelle’s first 39-man provisional Super Eagles squad released in March 2025.

Dennis will now begin a new chapter in the UAE with Al-Jazira, where he will look to continue his development and establish himself as an important part of the club’s midfield.
Al-Jazira, meanwhile, will be hoping the Nigerian’s arrival can help strengthen their squad as they target a return to the top of the UAE Pro League, having last won the title in 2021.
