He opened the scoring in the 15th minute, reacting sharply inside the box to give the hosts an early advantage. Barely twelve minutes later, he doubled his tally with a composed finish after another swift attacking move cut through Ikorodu City’s defence.

‎Sandwiched between Oweilayefa’s first two strikes was a 24th-minute effort from Wisdom Udom, who made it 3–0 with a well-taken goal that effectively ended the contest before halftime.

Insurance continued their control after the break, and Oweilayefa completed his hat-trick in the 59th minute, sealing a resounding 4–0 victory. The Benin Arsenal barely allowed Ikorodu City any clear sight of goal, combining defensive discipline with ruthless attacking efficiency.

‎The result strengthens Bendel Insurance’s push up the table occupying 6th in the NPFL table with 41 points after matchday 28, sending a clear message about their growing momentum in the title race.
