Éric Chelle has named Nigeria’s starting XI for Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Guinea-Bissau in Bissau. Alex Iwobi starts for the Super Eagles, while Stanley Nwabali keeps his place in goal, Taiwo Awoniyi also makes his start for Nigeria, Bold Sports reports.
Iwobi started Nigeria’s 2-1 comeback win over Madagascar last Friday. He also provided the assist for George Ilenikhena’s equaliser in first-half stoppage time. Wilfred Ndidi also started that match and helped Nigeria control the midfield.
Chelle makes changes for Guinea-Bissau
Chelle has made several changes to his lineup for the second Group L fixture. Stanley Nwabali keeps his place in goal.
Bright Osayi-Samuel comes into the defence. He joins Semi Ajayi, Bruno Onyemaechi and Calvin Bassey.

Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau both enter the match with three points. Guinea-Bissau opened their campaign with a 2-0 away victory over Tanzania. Nigeria then defeated Madagascar 2-1 in Uyo.
The Group L fixture takes place at the Estádio Nacional 24 de Setembro in Bissau. A win would move either side to six points after two matches.
