Ademola Lookman scores third Serie A goal in Udinese draw

Ademola Lookman continued his impressive start to his life in Italy by getting his name on the score sheet in Atalanta’s 2-2 draw away at Udinese on Sunday in an Italian Serie A encounter.

The Nigeria international put the visitors in front in the 36th minute. Luis Muriel made it 2-0 from the spot in the 56th minute a goal resulting from a foul on him by Destiny Udogie.

However, Nehuén Pérez and Gerard Deulofeu canceled out goals from Lookman and Muriel in the 67th and 78th minute respectively.

The goal is the third in nine Serie A games for Lookman and his second in two consecutive games. He also has three assists in the time frame for the club.

Reacting after the games, the 24-year-old says although he’s disappointed with the draw, it is time to focus on their next game.

“A draw today but looking ahead to the next game. Another goal,” Lookman tweeted.

Lookman was shown a yellow card in the 37th minute while he made way for Ruslan Malinovskyi in the 65th minute. His compatriot Isaac Success was a second half substitute for Udinese. He came on for Beto in the 64th minute.

Atalanta are currently two points behind log leaders Napoli and one point ahead of third placed AC Milan after nine league games.
