Everton are nearing a deal to sign Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi on a free transfer.
Ndidi’s contract with Leicester City expires on June 30th, and he reportedly rejected their offer to stay despite their return to the Premier League.
Talks are advanced between the Toffees and Ndidi, with the hope of finalizing the deal and scheduling a medical by next week. Their goal is to have him join the pre-season training camp as soon as possible.
Reports suggest Everton presented their offer, and Ndidi is keen on the move, favoring the opportunity to play under manager Sean Dyche.
Ndidi’s experience in the Premier League, with nearly 200 appearances, would be a significant boost for Everton. He brings a winning mindset and tactical awareness to Goodison Park.
Ndidi last season made 32 league appearances for Leicester City in the championship finding the back of the net four times and providing five assists whilst playing a key role in their return to the Premier League.
