Centre-back Nicolas Pallois has been named Nantes’ Player of the Season with 30.96% of the fans vote ahead of the early-season favorite, Moses Simon, who finished second with 20.18%.

Pallois played a crucial role in Nantes’ narrow escape from relegation, featuring in 21 Ligue 1 matches. The team finished 14th with just 33 points, only four points clear of the relegated Lorient.

Initially expected to win the award, Simon suffered a season-ending fibula injury in March. Despite scoring three goals and providing six assists in his 22 appearances, this setback ultimately cost him the top spot.

Cameroon’s Jean-Charles Castelletto rounded out the top three with 13.66% of the vote. Pallois takes over the mantle from Ludovic Blas, who won the award for the previous two seasons.

“With 30.96% of the votes, Nicolas Pallois is therefore your Canary of the Season by Iliane for 2023-2024. He is ahead of Moses Simon (20.18%) and Jean-Charles Castelletto (13.66%). He succeeds Ludovic BLAS, elected at the end of the two previous seasons.”

Moses was named the Player of The Season for the club for the 2019/2020 campaign.
