The Super Eagles have arrived at the Osvaldo Vieira International Airport in Bissau ahead of Tuesday’s 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Guinea-Bissau.
The team departed Uyo on Sunday afternoon after holding their final training session earlier in the day at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium. They will resume training on Monday as they look to secure another victory in the qualifiers.
Nigeria began their qualification campaign in Group L with a 2-1 victory over Madagascar on Friday.
Eric Chelle’s side had to come from behind to claim all three points, with debutants George Ilenikhena and Moses Usor scoring the goals that completed a remarkable comeback for the Super Eagles.

The result sees Nigeria sit second in the group, behind Guinea-Bissau on goal difference. The Djurtus currently lead the group after securing a remarkable 2-0 victory over Tanzania away from home.

In the group’s other fixture, Madagascar will face Tanzania, with both teams looking to bounce back from their opening defeats.
