Moses Simon has described making his 100th appearance for the Super Eagles as a privilege, reflecting on the significance of reaching the milestone with Nigeria.
The 31-year-old reached the landmark during Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Mozambique at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Friday. Simon came on in the 61st minute and made an impact as the Super Eagles secured victory in their opening 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier.
Reacting to the achievement, Moses Simon shared an emotional statement on his official Instagram account on Saturday, expressing his feelings and appreciating everyone who has played a role in his journey.
“100 caps. One shirt. One country. A thousand emotions. To represent my country once is an honour. To do it 100 times is a privilege I will never be able to fully put into words,” the winger wrote.

Moses Simon received his first call-up to the Nigeria national team from coach Daniel Amokachi in March 2015 and made his debut on March 25 in an international friendly against Uganda.
He scored his first goal for Nigeria in another international friendly against Niger on September 8, 2015, netting the second goal in a 2-0 victory.
In his 100 appearances for the Super Eagles, the winger recorded 12 goals and 18 assists.
