Super Falcons defender Shukurat Oladipo has committed her future to Italian champions Roma, signing a new contract that will keep her at the club until June 2029 after an outstanding 2025/26 season.

Oladipo played a key role for the Giallorosse during the 2025/26 campaign, helping Roma secure both the Serie A Femminile (Scudetto) title and the Coppa Italia.

Roma confirmed the contract extension in a statement on their official website on Wednesday.

“AS Roma are delighted to announce that Shukurat Oladipo has extended her contract with the club until 30 June 2029,” the club stated.

The Nigerian defender joined Roma in 2025 and has quickly established herself as an important member of the squad, making 32 appearances across all competitions.

Oladipo is currently in Morocco with the Super Falcons, who are aiming to successfully defend their Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title later this month.

In addition to Oladipo, Roma also announced that Danish full-back Frederikke Thøgersen has extended her contract with the club until 30 June 2029.
