Christantus Uche has broken his silence amid a frustrating lack of game time at Crystal Palace, admitting he does not feel the support of head coach Oliver Glasner.
The Nigerian midfielder last featured for the Eagles two months ago, playing just nine minutes in their 3-1 victory over Tottenham. This year, he has played seven games, starting only once in the FA Cup.
It is definitely not what the 22-year-old expected when he joined Crystal Palace on loan from Getafe at the start of the 2025/26 campaign. Since moving to the club, he is yet to start a Premier League game.
He played a key part in the club’s early Conference League campaign, scoring twice in four matches. However, he was removed from the squad for the competition earlier this year, in order to accommodate new signings.

In an exclusive interview with Read Crystal Palace, Christantus Uche appreciated Palace fans for their support, but admitted he may not play for the club again.
“I may not have much playing time, but I am grateful for the fans who continue to support me and the team,” he said.
“Your dedication and enthusiasm mean a lot and I hope to make you proud whenever I do get the chance to play but I know maybe it won’t happen again because the coach doesn’t like me,” he added.
It means that Uche will be returning to Getafe at the end of the season when his loan spell concludes. The Nigerian arrived at Selhurst Park last summer but needed to make 10 league starts to trigger an obligation to buy.
