Super Eagles duo Terem Moffi and Zaidu Sanusi will be up against fullback Ola Aina when Porto face Nottingham Forest in the quarterfinal of the Europa League next month, Bold Sports.
Porto booked their place in the last eight with a commanding 4-1 aggregate victory over VfB Stuttgart. The Portuguese giants secured a 2-1 away win in the first leg, with Moffi opening the scoring, before sealing qualification with a 2-0 win at home.
Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, endured a far more dramatic route to the quarterfinals. The Premier League side edged past Midtjylland via a penalty shootout after both teams finished level at 2-2 on aggregate.
Forest had lost the first leg 1-0 but responded with a 2-1 victory in the return fixture. They then converted all their spot-kicks in a flawless shootout display, while Midtjylland failed to score any of theirs, handing Aina’s side a 3-0 shootout win.

Elsewhere, it was the end of the road for several Nigerian players in the competition. Yusuf Bamidele saw his Ferencvárosi side lose 4-2 on aggregate to Braga, while Yira Sor and Genk were beaten 5-2 on aggregate by Freiburg.
Cyriel Dessers and Panathinaikos exited the competition following a 4-1 aggregate loss to Real Betis while substitute Goalkeeper Mark Ugboh was part of the Midtjylland squad eliminated by Forest.
Other quarterfinal fixtures will see Braga face Real Betis, Bologna take on Aston Villa, and Freiburg battle Celta Vigo for a place in the semifinals.
