Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been left out of Galatasaray’s squad for their upcoming Turkish Super Lig clash against Konyaspor as a precautionary measure, Bold Sports reports.
The club confirmed via its official X account that the Nigerian international is experiencing pain in his right knee. However, he is expected to recover in time for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off tie against Juventus.
Osimhen has been in sensational form for Galatasaray in recent months, registering six goals and five assists in his last 10 appearances across all competitions.
The prolific striker has delivered at least one goal contribution in each of his last six Super Lig matches, scoring in five consecutive games before providing two assists in his most recent outing against Eyüpspor.

Galatasaray have also enjoyed a strong campaign across all fronts. They are on the brink of securing a Champions League Round of 16 spot, currently lead Group A in the Turkish Cup, and sit top the Super Lig standings with 55 points, three ahead of second-placed Fenerbahçe.
The reigning Turkish champions will look to maintain their momentum when they travel to face Konyaspor on Saturday. They claimed a convincing 3-1 victory in the reverse fixture in September and will be eager to complete a league double over their opponents.
Meanwhile, Konyaspor find themselves 14th in the table with 20 points, just two clear of the relegation zone. Without a league victory since October, they will be determined to end that drought against the league leaders
