‎It was a classic NPFL turnaround at the Oluyole Warriors’ home ground in Ibadan as Shooting Stars overturned an early deficit to defeat Warri Wolves 4-2 in a high-octane Matchday 26 encounter.

‎The visitors struck first in just the 7th minute, when Peter Ita capitalised on a defensive lapse from the corner to send Warri Wolves ahead and silence the home supporters. But Shooting Stars responded almost immediately. In the 10th minute, Sadiq Ibrahim produced a composed finish to level the scores, rallying the Oluyole faithful.

‎From that point, the hosts seized control. In the 29th minute, Lucky Emmanuel Gayang put Shooting Stars ahead with a well-worked strike. Building on their momentum, they extended the lead with a sublime header before halftime through Desmond Ojietefian in the 38th minute, taking a commanding 3-1 advantage into the break.

The second half continued in similar fashion. In the 68th minute, Amos Stephen added a fourth with a cool finish from outside the box, further extending the advantage and threatening to put the game beyond doubt.

‎Warri Wolves refused to go quietly, and Utsuke Egbo pulled one back in the 86th minute, but it was too little, too late.

‎At full time, the Oluyole Warriors celebrated an emphatic 4-2 comeback victory – a result that boosts their NPFL points tally to 38 from 25 games and strengthens their mid-table stance, while Warri Wolves remain competitive but rue missed opportunities.
