Super Eagles duo Ola Aina and Taiwo Awoniyi are set to work with Tolu Arokodare’s former boss Vitor Pereira as the Portuguese tactician is on the verge of becoming Nottingham Forest’s new head coach.
Vitor Pereira worked with Arokodare during his time at Wolves. The Nigerian striker scored two goals in nine appearances under the 57-years-old who was eventually sacked from the club after a winless start to the Premier League season.
However, with Sean Dyche sacked after just 114 days in charge of Nottingham Forest, Pereira is set to return to management as his replacement, this time with a club sitting just three points above the relegation zone with 12 matches to go in the 2025-26 Premier League season.

According to several reliable journalists including transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Vitor Pereira will be the next coach of Nottingham Forest, making him potentially the fourth this season after Nuno Espírito Santo, Ange Postecoglou, and Sean Dyche.
“Vitor Pereira, on the verge of becoming new Nottingham Forest head coach. Deal at final stages,” Fabrizio Romano posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Despite being injured for majority of the campaign, Ola Aina has featured in 12 games for Nottingham Forest this season across all competitions, while Awoniyi has made nine appearances, with his only goal coming in a 2-0 win over Brentford.
Both players will now be hoping the managerial change sparks a turnaround as Forest battle to secure their Premier League status in what promises to be a tense run-in to the season.
