Paul Onuachu and Anthony Nwakaeme were both on target as Trabzonspor cruised to a 3–0 victory over Turkish second-division side Fethiyespor in Group A of the Turkish Cup.

Nwakaeme played a key role in the win, providing the assist for Ernest Muçi’s superb opener in the 69th minute before doubling Trabzonspor’s advantage eight minutes later, firing a left-footed strike into the roof of the net. Just two minutes after that, Onuachu added a third, calmly tapping home to put the game beyond the visitors.

While Nwakaeme started the encounter, Onuachu was initially rested and only introduced at the start of the second half, replacing Filipe Augusto as the Süper Lig side pushed for the breakthrough.

The victory lifts Trabzonspor to the top of Group A after three rounds of matches, leapfrogging Galatasaray. The defending champions, however, could reclaim first place on Wednesday when they face Istanbulspor at RAMS Park.

The goal marked Nwakaeme’s first of the season for Trabzonspor, having missed the early part of the 2025/26 campaign through injury. He was only recently reinstated into the squad in January. Onuachu, meanwhile, took his tally to 14 goals in 19 appearances across all competitions.
