Super Eagles and Fulham winger Samuel Chukwueze has suffered a heartbreaking family loss following the death of his mother after a brief illness, Bold Sports reports.
The sad development was made public on Thursday morning by the player’s brother, David Chukwueze, who shared the news through a series of emotional Instagram stories.
“Can’t even post your picture to say RIP mum,” David wrote, expressing his grief.

In another post, he added: “My forever love just left me without saying goodbye. You didn’t even carry your grandchild. All I can say is thank you Yahweh.”
Chukwueze’s loss comes at a painful time for the Super Eagles community, as he becomes the second Nigeria international to lose a parent in recent days.
Super Eagles captain and Besiktas midfielder Wilfred Ndidi also recently lost his father, Sunday Ndidi, who reportedly passed away following an accident in Delta State.
Since the news of Chukwueze’s mother’s passing emerged, fans and supporters have taken to social media to send condolences and messages of support to the winger as he navigates what will be a very difficult period both personally and professionally.
