Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored his 50th goal for Galatasaray as the Turkish champions cruised to a 3-1 win over Karagümrük in their Super Lig clash on Saturday, Bold Sports reports.

The Nigerian international, who arrived at the club on loan in the 2024-25 season before completing a permanent move this campaign, once again showcased his quality by finding the net in the second half to seal the victory and reach another personal milestone.

Galatasaray went into the encounter keen to extend their advantage at the top of the table and wasted no time asserting themselves, with Gabriel Sara opening the scoring within seconds after capitalising on a costly error by the hosts while playing out from the back.

Karagümrük responded in the 27th minute when Serginho led a quick counterattack before calmly cutting the ball back for Kalayci, who curled a fine effort into the top corner to draw the hosts level with their only shot on target of the first half.

Early in the second half, Sara struck again to restore Galatasaray’s lead. A patient build-up ended with Rolland Sallai delivering a precise cross, which the Brazilian midfielder headed past the goalkeeper to make it 2-1.

Four minutes later, Osimhen put the game beyond doubt, controlling a cross from Gündoğan before blasting the ball into the roof of the net to secure all three points for the visitors.

The result keeps Galatasaray top of the Super Lig standings with 46 points, four clear of second-placed Fenerbahçe, who have a game in hand, while Karagümrük remain rooted to the bottom with just nine points after 19 matches.

Osimhen’s strike was his seventh league goal of the season and his 13th across all competitions in 18 appearances, having scored 37 goals in 41 games during his first season, when he helped Galatasaray lift both the Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup.
