The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled a redesigned Man of the Match award for the Africa Cup of Nations, signalling a fresh upgrade from the previous trophy.

Sleek and modern in appearance, the new design is intended to better reflect the prestige and global stature of Africa’s flagship football tournament.

CAF says the award will continue to recognise players who deliver outstanding performances and make decisive contributions on the continent’s biggest stage.

More than just a visual update, the revamped trophy is meant to symbolise excellence, influence, and authority on the pitch, rewarding players who rise to the occasion and shape the outcome of matches.

The redesign forms part of CAF’s broader efforts to elevate the AFCON brand while celebrating individual brilliance alongside collective team success.
