Gift Orban is expected to start on the bench for the third consecutive match when 19th-placed Hellas Verona visit bottom-side Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Sunday.
Verona, who secured their first win of the season with a 3–1 victory over Atalanta last weekend, will be aiming to build on that momentum against a Fiorentina side still searching for their first Serie A win of the campaign.
Manager Paolo Zanetti has opted to bench Orban in Verona’s last two fixtures. The Nigerian striker was an unused substitute in the win over Atalanta, with the Italian coach preferring the attacking partnership of Giovane and Daniel Mosquera.

Orban, who joined Verona on loan from Bundesliga club Hoffenheim during the summer, has scored twice in 11 league appearances but is currently on a five-game goal drought.
According to Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb.com, Orban will not be the only player left out of the starting lineup; his teammate, and former Fiorentina defender, Nicolás Valentini, is also expected to begin the match on the bench.
Fiorentina head into the fixture high on confidence after a 2–1 victory over Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Europa Conference League, their third win in five matches. However, while the Viola have impressed in Europe, they have struggled to replicate that form in Serie A.
