Rivers United will face defending champions Pyramids FC, RS Berkane, and Power Dynamos in Group A of the 2025/26 CAF Champions League group stage, Bold Sports reports.
The draw was conducted on Monday in Johannesburg, with 16 teams divided into four groups, A to D.
The Port Harcourt-based side remains Nigeria’s sole representatives in this season’s CAF inter-club competitions, after Remo Stars, Kwara United, and Abia Warriors crashed out in the first and second qualifying rounds, respectively.

To book their place in the group stage, Rivers United defeated Black Bulls of Mozambique 3–1 on aggregate in the second round of qualifiers, having earlier overcome Jeunesse Sportive de Kinshasa in the preliminary stage.
Rivers United, who became the first Nigerian club to reach the CAF Champions League group stage since Lobi Stars in the 2018/19 season, will now aim to go one better by advancing from their group and securing a spot in the quarterfinals of the competition.
