D’Tigress forward Amy Okonkwo delivered a stellar performance, scoring a game-high 28 points to lead Besiktas to a dominant 86–57 victory over Melikgazi Kayseri in Round 4 of the Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League on Sunday.

Since joining Besiktas in the summer following her stint with the Dallas Wings in the WNBA, Okonkwo has been in exceptional form – and she once again showed why she’s one of the league’s standout players. Her inspired display powered Besiktas to their third win of the season.

The hosts took control from tip-off and never looked back, outscoring Kayseri in every quarter: 28–18, 20–15, 23–10, and 15–14 – a testament to their dominance at both ends of the court.

Okonkwo was near-perfect offensively, going 5-of-7 from inside the arc, 5-of-7 from three-point range, and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line. She also grabbed a team-high seven rebounds, dished out one assist, and was deservedly named the game’s Most Valuable Player.

Migna Traoré added 13 points, seven assists, and three rebounds, while Pelin Bilgiç contributed 11 points, five rebounds, and four assists for Besiktas.

For Melikgazi Kayseri, Charli Collier led the scoring with 15 points and a game-high eight rebounds, while Brooke Williams finished with 12 points in the loss.

Next up for Okonkwo and Besiktas is a EuroCup Women clash against Gorzów, the side that handed them a defeat in their opening game of the European campaign. Besiktas will be eager to avenge that loss and boost their chances of advancing from Group J as one of the top two teams.
