Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi has confirmed that Super Eagles winger Ademola Lookman is seeking a move away from the club, amid ongoing transfer negotiations with Inter Milan, Bold Sports reports.
The 27-year-old has been the subject of multiple bids from the Nerazzurri, who are determined to secure his signature ahead of the 2024-25 Serie A campaign.
“Lookman wants to leave since long time ago. We have a proposal from Inter but it’s us deciding timing and valuation for our own players,” Percassi said, addressing the media as speculation continues to grow around the player’s future.

“We have good relationship and we will consider the proposal with our timing,” he added.
Inter Milan most recently submitted an offer worth €42 million plus €3 million in bonuses, following an earlier €40 million bid that was rejected. Atalanta, however, have turned down the improved proposal, maintaining their stance that Lookman will not be sold for anything less than their €50 million valuation.
While Atalanta have not closed the door on a potential sale, they are reportedly open to a structured deal in the region of €45 million plus €5 million in add-ons. That specific proposal, however, has not yet been made by Inter.

A meeting between both clubs took place earlier this week to assess whether a compromise could be reached, but the latest developments suggest that Atalanta are in no rush to offload one of their most valuable assets. Inter, meanwhile, are working under a self-imposed deadline of July 31 to either seal the deal or shift their focus to alternative targets.
Lookman is seen as a key piece in Inter’s efforts to strengthen their attacking options after narrowly missing out on the title to Napoli last season. The club believes his proven quality and European experience can make an immediate impact at the highest level.
