Billionaire business mogul and sports entrepreneur, Kunle Soname, has celebrated a remarkably successful season for his football clubs by distributing a staggering N42 million in cash prizes.
The substantial reward, announced during a luncheon he hosted on Monday in Ikenne, recognized the outstanding performances of Remo Stars, Remo Stars Ladies, Beyond Limits, and the club’s dedicated supporters.
According to sports journalist Robert Olimene, Soname, the proprietor and president of the clubs, personally announced the prizes.

Remo Stars, fresh off securing their historic maiden Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title in the 2024/25 season, received the lion’s share with N25 million. The Remo Stars Ladies were awarded N10 million for their impressive run to the Super Six of the Nigeria Women’s Football League.
Beyond Limits, recently crowned champions of the 2025 Gothia Cup U17 Puma Trophy, were gifted N5 million, while the steadfast supporters club received N2 million.
Adding a personal touch to the celebrations, Soname also presented Remo Stars midfielder Olamilekan Adedayo with a brand new car in appreciation of his dedicated service to the club.
With the NPFL title secured, Remo Stars are now setting their sights on the upcoming 2025/26 season, where they will not only defend their domestic crown but also compete in the prestigious CAF Champions League. The club will be aiming to advance beyond the preliminary stages in Africa’s premier club competition.
