Super Eagles winger Moses Simon is set to officially part ways with Nantes after the completion of his medical ahead of a move to newly promoted Ligue 1 side Paris FC Bold Sports reports.
Following six seasons with the Canaries, speculation about Simon’s potential exit had gathered pace and Paris FC were viewed as keen on signing him. Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Tuesday that the deal is finalised, with both clubs agreeing on a €7 million transfer fee.
Simon later took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to confirm his departure, sharing an emotional farewell: “Six seasons of giving it your all with your heart. Sprints, crosses, thrill and etched memories. Thank you FC Nantes, thank you Beaujoire. I leave with pride and a piece of this club in my heart.”

Over his six-year spell at Nantes, the Nigerian international made 201 appearances, netting 37 goals and providing 42 assists.
Simon’s journey at Nantes began on August 24, 2019, when he made his debut during a loan spell from Levante. He immediately made an impact, coming off the bench to score the decisive goal in a 2-1 away victory against Amiens. His impressive performances earned him the club’s Player of the Season award after helping Nantes secure a 13th-place Ligue 1 finish.
Convinced by his standout displays, Nantes secured Simon on a permanent deal. He continued to deliver, recording 11 goal contributions in 33 matches and playing a pivotal role in keeping the club in the top flight.
Over the next three seasons, Simon remained a key figure, contributing 31 goals and assists across all competitions and maintaining his consistent form for the French side.

Despite Nantes struggling last season, the 29-year-old was one of the team’s brightest performers, registering eight goals and 10 assists to help them narrowly avoid relegation once more.
The Nigerian star now embarks on a new chapter with Paris FC, who will be aiming to retain their Ligue 1 status after earning promotion by finishing second in Ligue 2 with 69 points.
