Super Eagles striker Sadiq Umar has made his final appearance for Valencia, featuring in their 1-1 draw with Real Betis in the last league match of the season at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.
Sadiq Umar, 28, was named in the starting lineup for the second consecutive game but was replaced by Hugo Duro in the 56th minute as Valencia sought to level the scoreline following Antony’s opener in the first half.
Despite falling behind, Valencia remained threatening in attack and eventually equalised in the 75th minute with Rafa Mir making an instant impact after coming on to secure a point for the visitors.
Sadiq Umar arrived at Valencia on loan from Real Sociedad in January, aiming to revive his career by securing more playing time and helping the club in their battle against relegation.
The Nigerian striker made his debut in a Copa del Rey victory over Eldense, followed by an appearance in the next league game against Sevilla. He marked his first start for the club with a goal, scoring in the 78th minute to seal a 2-0 win against Ourense in the Copa del Rey Round of 16.

Sadiq Umar hit a rich vein of form the following month, netting four goals in four matches as Valencia surged up the league table. Among those goals was a stunning backheel finish that helped Valencia secure a dramatic 3-3 draw against Osasuna — an effort that earned him the La Liga Goal of the Month award.
Despite his contributions, Valencia are reportedly unwilling to spend €9 million to keep him. As it stands, Sadiq Umar is expected to return to Real Sociedad this summer unless a new offer arrives.
